-
Fix the error related to a file already being open during searches for Win7
users.
-
Added Settings, OK To Add Pending Contacts Again. This will allow you to
re-add contacts already on your contact list that still show pending status.
-
Added backup of Bookmarked Chats
-
Added Tools, Advanced, View Bookmarked Chats
-
Fixed progress monitor related to resume
v2.5.3.0 - Aug 11, 2011 - <download>
-
Added the new option at Settings, OK To Send Messages To
Strangers, and the default value is unchecked, which means when you are sending
messages the system will skip past anyone who is not a friend.
-
The reason for this addition is the discovery that some people
were accidentally sending messages to strangers rather than adding them as
contacts.
-
If you are an experienced user feel free to put a check beside
this option.
v2.5.1.0 - Aug 3, 2011 - <download>
-
Changed the backup of categories and users so it does not
remove the previous backups. Instead, it now makes two files, one that
starts with the date you made the backup, the other is the one used to restore. You can go to the logs folder to see
the structure in action.
-
Added a resume option for when you are sending messages to a
list of people and for some reason the sending stops, maybe the power goes off,
maybe some other reason. Resume Sending Messages will pick up where it left off.
-
Did an audit and made the necessary adjustments so that free
members can use the contact management features as outlined on the options page
at
http://www.messagemagic.net/options.php
v2.5.0.0 -
July 24, 2011 - <download>
-
REMOVE ALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS....
-
Now includes automatic updates! We have removed the Microsoft ClickOnce
style of installation and updating because it is an inferior product with too
many problems and not enough control. We are now using a more professional
installation package which includes the automatic updating of new features,
fixes, versions etc, all streamlined and easy for the user.
-
Added the menu item Activities, User Actions, Add To Profiles
Database. If you have a list of users selected in the User window, this will add
those selected users to your profiles database. This is especially useful when
you load users from a file, perhaps a list you got from a team member, or if you
have loaded from
your existing contacts.
-
Added a very powerful new feature. "Tools, Advanced, Bookmark
all Group Chats" will scan through your entire chat history and will bookmark
every group chat you've ever been in, and then you can use "Activities, Retrieve
Users, Load Bookmarked Chats" to select which chat sessions you want to bring
into the profile area.
In case you don't realize it, the people in those group chats are the active
people that are in them TODAY and so will change from time to time, and this
could easily be your biggest and most important single source of new qualified
networkers. In other words, get yourself invited to about every group chat on
the planet if it involves networkers.
v2.4.2.1 -
July 7, 2011
-
We have now switched to publish the software using the Microsoft
ClickOnce technology. This means that once you install the software it will
automatically check for updates, and if an update is available it will give you
the option of downloading and installing it right away with a single click. It
is no longer a hassle to get updated software.
-
Fixed a problem with selecting friends or non-friends.
v2.4.1.2 -
June 29, 2011
v2.4.1.1 -
June 27, 2011
-
The main screen has a new layout with a
larger area to display both users and the message text.
-
Changed the user data being displayed so it
now contains: username, display name, buddy status, online status, number of
contacts they have, gender, language, country, province/state, city, date last
seen online, birth date, VMS (more on this in a future release), home page,
mood, and of course the about me text.
-
Many new right-click options for the User
display, not the least of which is a More Selections option which will allow you
to select a smaller set of users similar to the new selection options when
loading your contacts.
-
Rearranged many of the menu contents so they are placed in
areas that make more sense to actual use and process flow.
-
Added the ability to load people from your contact list based
on their country, gender, number of contacts they have.
-
Added the ability to load people from your contact list based
on the language and/or country NOT selected. In other words, if you select the
language English, and also set the != flag, the system will load everyone
except the people who have their language set to English. In
the same way, if you select the country Russia. and also set the != flag, the
system will load everyone except the people located in Russia.
These two new indicators can be used individually or at the same time.
-
There is a new option for loading users.... it is called
Load Saved Profiles. This is to complete the introductory phase
of providing the ability to Keep Profiles as outlined in
v2.1.2.1 -> In other words, not only can you keep the profiles of every search
you do thereby building a growing database of Skype users, you now have the
ability to make full use of that database. When you choose this option a pop-up
window will appear to provide a multitude of filtering choices.
-
Added the count of users contained within groups and chats.
-
Added the {country} tag in the message text area.
v2.3.2.1 -
June 17, 2011
v2.3.1.1 -
June 16, 2011
-
Added menu option Settings, Custom Message When Adding
Contacts. The default setting here is that the system will force you to
enter a custom message when you are adding contacts. If you do NOT want to
include a custom message when adding contacts then remove the checkmark from
this option.
-
Added Right-Click Load Message option in the Message window.
This will open a dialogue window where you can load a previously saved text
message.
-
Added Right-Click Save Message option in the Message window.
This will open a dialogue window where you can save the contents of the text
message area into a text file. You can, of course, use the load feature later on
to bring it back in to the text message window.
-
Added Right-Click Clear Message option in the Message
window. This will clear the content out of the text message window.
-
Added menu item Activities, Retrieve Users, Load Active Chats.
This will show you a list of your active individual and group
chats, and provide you the opportunity to load the user(s) from any or all you
want. Ever get pulled in to a group chat and you want to see more about all the
users in the room? This is the option to do it.
-
Added menu item Activities, Retrieve Users, Load
BookMarked Chats. This will show you a list of your
bookmarked individual and group chats, and provide you the opportunity
to load the user(s) from any or all you want. Want to access everyone in the
room from a chat you previously bookmarked? This is the option to do it.
-
Added menu item Activities, Advanced, Save Skype Categories.
This function allows you to save your
custom Skype categories and all the users contained within each of those
categories. This is really important for a few reasons. 1) Skype itself does not
provide a way for you to backup & restore your categories and the users
associated with them, 2) If you ever have to reload your contacts from scratch
you will lose all your categories and have to recreate them from memory, 3) If
you accidentally delete a category or remove some users from a category this
will give you a way to get them back.
Obviously it is far
better and a huge time-saver to have a way to make a copy of your categories and
users in them and have the means to restore them if necessary. This option only
works if you make use of the Skype categories and actually have custom
categories to save.
There is also a system level warning at
various locations which gets triggered if you have never saved your Skype
Categories, or if you haven't saved them in the current month. As part of this
we added menu Settings, Save Categories Warning. This gives you the ability to turn the warning message on or
off. The default is for the warning message to be on.
Please note that we use the ~ (tilde) character as the delimiter in between
category names and the users within the category. What that means is you cannot
use the ~ as part of a category name.
-
Added a system level warning at various locations which gets triggered if you
have never saved your Skype Categories, or if you haven't saved them in the
current month. As part of this we added menu Settings, Save Categories
Warning. This gives you the ability to turn the warning message on or
off. The default is for the warning message to be on.
-
Added menu item Activities, Advanced, View Saved Categories.
This will open the file containing all the saved categories and users contained
within the categories.
-
Added menu item Activities, Advanced, Restore Saved Categories.
This function will restore the Skype
categories and users that had been saved in a previous step. The most typical
use will be if you accidentally delete a category from your Skype and now want
to restore it to the way it was. Another less frequent (hopefully) use will be
in the unlikely event your Skype contact list has been corrupted and you need to
restore a previous version, or perhaps you have the need to bring all your
contacts and categories into a new Skype account.
-
Fixed an Advanced Search issue for Skype 4.2 users. The
problem was in the newer versions of MM the data wasn't transferring from the
Skype advanced search window over to the MM user window. It's all good now. I
know most of you have moved to v5+ of Skype so this is a non-issue but we are
committed to ensure MM works fine with all versions of Skype from v3.8 onward.
So far so good.
-
Fixed the Time Out waiting period to be 60 seconds in System
Settings, Settings which was being reset whenever a person simply visited the
page and canceled out.
v2.2.1.1 -
June 9, 2011
-
Added zSkipList – a very clean and simple way to handle
exclusions. If you have the category called zSkipList set up in
Skype (or group if you are using an older version of Skype), and have added one
or more users to that category, those people will be skipped when sending the
broadcast message. Why would you want some people to be skipped? Perhaps you
have some friends, family, work contacts, church contacts, and so on (the list
can get quite big) that you don’t want receiving your broadcasts. No problem,
just add their username to zSkipList and it will be taken care
of for you. You don’t have to give it another thought. This type of exclusion
processing is also called things like “dedup list”, “do not send list”, “do not
contact list”, even “ignore list”, and I’m sure there are other terms all
meaning the same thing.
-
Added {birthday} tag replacement for the user's birth month
& day, i.e. {birthday} becomes "January 10". This tag is active
while sending messages.
