How Do I Change A Referral?

If it comes about that you know for a fact that you referred someone and they don't show up on your referral list, or if you know that you should have been referred by a particular person and the two of you discover you are not on their referral list then BOTH parties need to submit the Genealogy Change support ticket and include all relevant details.

* Note * It is possible you don't know your sponsor for 3 reasons:

1) Some people use redirection links that drop the affiliate id each of us has been assigned. When this happens the person is placed in a "catch-all" bucket until we can determine with certainty who the correct sponsor should be and move them there. We can do this because we keep logs on the server which show us where a person came from and who they signed up with.

2)If someone comes to the main page without a referral, i.e. if someone comes to http://www.messagemagic.net/ with no referral id associated with them, then that new referral is assigned a sponsor by way of a rotation script... it simply goes to the next person in the queue. People are placed in the rotation queue if they are at the bottom of the recruiting list. In other words, if they haven't been having success then the system is designed to help them. Paying members with the least referrals are added to the rotation at the end of each month.

3) Also note that the system stamps a cookie related to whose referral link you first clicked on and came to the site so even if you later try to use someone else's link you will still go under the first person. This is not an error and not the type of genealogy change we're open to.
